A lubrication-free conveyor chain designed and manufactured by Renold has been selected by Volvo to transport vehicles through the paint ovens.

Following the introduction of a new production line at Volvo's heavy goods vehicle plant in Sweden, a solution was needed that could cope with temperatures of 180ºC. Having worked successfully with Renold in the past, engineers from both organisations established the exact requirements before the design team at Renold drafted plans for the new chain.

This installation adds Volvo to the long list of companies around the world that have consulted Renold when a customised solution was required. Renold expertise and design skills mean that tailored solutions can deliver great performance even in demanding application evironments.
