FOSSIL FUEL:
Large centre distance worm gears, manufactured to original drawings or manufactured from profile plugs, are supplied as replacement wormshaft and wormwheels.
Air Pre-heaters and Fans Renold supplies a wide range of fan drives, including centrally mounted multi-input Air pre-heater drives used to provide more efficient combustion, and high-speed cooling tower drives modified to give greater overhung load capacity.  All these vertical units are supplied in both worm and helical configurations.

Solar Renold provides standard and bespoke products into a number of areas within the solar power industry, from drives for the cutting of silicon blocks used in the manufacture of silicon wafers for use in solar panels, to  the development of high-precision positional drives ensuring maximum energy conversion.
Wave and Tidal Renold has been at the forefront of drive development in this expanding market.  As a design and manufacturing consultant, we have partnered on a number of significant projects, from the development of speed-increasing gear units for harnessing wave energy to drive systems using vertical axis cross-flow turbines.
Alternative Renold has worked on other alternative developments from designing revolutionary new transmission systems for wind and water turbines which makes them lighter and more efficient, to the development of a sprag clutch freewheel device used on an electro-kinetic road ramp that generates free energy as cars pass over it.
