New flexible couplings and engine mountings to be launched at SMM
July 06
Renold Hi-Tec Couplings is using the SMM exhibition to launch a new range of flexible couplings and rubber,anti-vibration engine mountings for marine applications on stand A3.001. The new VF couplings are designed for use with high speed, flex-mounted diesel engines across a torque range from 5,000 to 18,000Nm. They have been designed for use on leisure craft, workboats, fishing vessels and tugs.
Renold Hi-Tec has the in-house skills and expertise necessary to conduct a complete harmonics and shock analysis of a vessel's propulsion system in order to select the correct coupling and engine mounting for each application. This ensures that the two components are working together in harmony to provide the shipbuilder or repairer with the complete solution. The company will also be showing its range of marine couplings such as its DCB-GS and MSC couplings along with its HTB, high-temperature, blind assembly couplings for close-coupled gearbox applications.
